Disappear Ch4Chapter 4   After what seemed an eternity of swinging my axe at the many walking dead, I turned to see a group of astonished faces staring at me.  “Thank you” was the first thing I heard from any of them, the sound of the girls voice who said it was soothing as I had not heard a human voice for a few days now.  After a few minutes of being dumbstruck, I said “no problem”.   The next few hours were spent talking about how I came to be here and how they came to be here.  They were a friendly bunch of people, who had been on their way home after a trip to the mountains.  I asked if Disappear Ch4

Disappear Ch3Chapter 3   After snapping out of my trance which had been brought on by the visions I’d seen on the TV just before.  I began to gather some provisions from what we had in the cupboard and decided to head out.  I decided to place my hopes in finding some other survivors somewhere further out from the city, maybe a group if I was lucky.    As I cautiously headed out the door and began to make my way via the alleyways which I’d used to get home, I realized the journey ahead me would be a long one.  I also hoped that my presence would go unnoticed on my way out of the city, which seemed to be nothing Disappear Ch3

They(many people) say that things have to get worse before they get better. If this is true, my life has been difficult lately and I have been forced to make some MAJOR decisions about my life and where I am going with it. I am definately needing to do something for myself, and I'm starting with doing what I always wanted to do and re-joining the RAN. I failed myself when I left at the beginning of last year, but I also learnt ALOT about myself just by being there and also with my leaving and trying new things over the last 12 months.
my life is only going to improve from here! NOTHING is going to change my mind. Time is always ticking and I'm not getting any younger, so I need to stop drinking, stop looking at things in a negative light and just do what I have to do for myself!

Sure thing. You may want to begin by looking into the following groups for articles on writing:

`poeticks
*onewordatatime

The latter also gives excellent anonymous critiques by request, check their page on whether or not they're accepting critiques at the moment.

*suture has recently put out its 4th volume, its kind of a featured magazine showcasing some of the better writing pieces the Editors and Staff have found within DA's realms.

*livingpoetsociety is more of a general club, it has recently gone under some major community-helping changes due to the switch of hands at the helm; I now run it. Check out the recent policy and send an email as instructed in it if you'd like to join.

You can also check out the writer's forums and chatrooms, the former of which are located when browsing the poetry and/or prose galleries.

Don't be a stranger - I'm sure there is more I can do to help bring you in as a regular contributor round here. Its always just the getting started that takes the first oil rigging. =D
